Stomach pain when eating

Eating stomach pain is usually caused by excessive secretion of gastric acid, gastric ulcer, atrophic gastritis and gastric prolapse, gastric cancer, gastroenteritis. Patients are advised to consult the gastroenterology department and give the following reasonable treatment after clarifying the cause: 1. Excessive secretion of gastric acid: excessive gastric acid stimulates the gastric mucosa, resulting in eating stomach pain. It can be treated by taking oral drugs that inhibit gastric acid secretion, such as omeprazole, as prescribed by the doctor, and attention should be paid to a light diet. 2. Gastric ulcer: It is manifested as regular stomach pain, which can appear immediately after meals for a short period of time. The location of the pain is more obvious in the middle and upper abdomen, and the stomach pain can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and other symptoms. Patients should pay attention to rest, eat regularly, avoid spicy and stimulating food, avoid coffee and strong tea, quit smoking and alcohol, and avoid excessive tension and anxiety. The symptoms can be relieved by using acid-inhibiting drugs as prescribed by the doctor. Those with H. pylori infection need to use drugs to eradicate H. pylori and protect the gastric mucosa; 3. Atrophic gastritis and gastric prolapse: stomach pain occurs after eating, and the pain lasts for a long time, with stomach distension and pain, often accompanied by bloating, belching and weight loss, which can be relieved by adjusting the diet. Patients should pay attention to less frequent meals and avoid strenuous activities after meals to avoid aggravating the symptoms of gastric prolapse, in addition, they should pay attention to regular review; 4. Stomach cancer: if patients have more severe stomach pain when eating, accompanied by symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, vomiting blood, anemia and other symptoms, as well as more obvious weight loss recently, they should be alert to stomach cancer. Gastric cancer can usually be treated by endoscopic treatment or surgical treatment of major gastric resection, and for patients with metastasis, adjuvant treatment of radiotherapy and chemotherapy is needed after surgery; 5. Gastroenteritis: stomach pain caused by improper diet, such as eating cold or spicy or irritating food, and accompanied by diarrhea attacks, may be due to eosinophilic gastroenteritis. The most effective measure to treat persistent allergic enteritis is to find allergens and avoid triggers, and if necessary, anti-allergic and hormonal treatment is needed for eosinophilic gastroenteritis; 6. Choledocholithiasis, gallbladder stones, pancreatic diseases: the above diseases also cause epigastric pain after eating, which can be mistaken for stomach pain, and require hospital consultation to further clarify the diagnosis and further treatment.
