Do I have to have a gastroscopy for stomach pain?

Stomach pain is often due to damage or irritation to the stomach and can have a variety of causes. Sometimes physical examination and questioning cannot determine the cause and extent of the disease; gastroscopy can provide a visual understanding of the cause of the pain in the stomach and can even be used to effectively treat it with gastroscopic support.
Of course, not everyone with stomach pain needs a gastroscopy, and those with a clearly understood cause of the disease may not have one. Gastroscopy is also not necessary for those who have been treated effectively and are in significant remission.
