What to do if you have recurring boils

Patients with recurrent localized skin boils can be treated as follows: 0.5% vital iodine gauze or Ruyi gold ointment can be used for continuous wet compresses to promote faster absorption of inflammatory factors at the boils, and the symptoms of localized skin redness, swelling and pain can be gradually relieved. During the process of topical topical application of drugs, if the patient’s redness, swelling and pain do not completely subside, oral levofloxacin tablets and cefixime can be added to anti-infection treatment. In some patients, if the necrotic tissue of the boil completely liquefies and forms an abscess during the process of topical application of local medication, it is necessary to perform abscess excision and drainage, and the local pain and infection can subside more quickly after draining out the accumulated fluid and pus. After the local inflammation is completely controlled, the size of the boil can be gradually reduced to the smallest state. Patients are advised to have complete surgical excision, which can effectively avoid recurrence of boils.
