Patients with left shoulder pain and hand numbness are mostly caused by neurogenic cervical spondylosis, which is caused by the irritation and compression of the left nerve root. In some cases, this is accompanied by finger dexterity disorders, muscle atrophy of the left forearm, and pathological reflexes. Electromyography, or CT or MRI films of the neck can be performed to make a clear diagnosis. If the patient has more severe frozen shoulder, this manifestation can also occur due to heavy adhesions in the shoulder muscles, which can compress and stimulate the brachial plexus nerve in the axillary area. A clear judgment needs to be made in the treatment and a good clinical outcome will be achieved by giving symptomatic treatment.
