Highly challenging tumor resection with preservation of the kidney for sinus tumor

The patient’s preoperative CT and IVP both indicated primary renal sinus tumor, and the tumor was not enhanced after CT enhancement, so benign possibility was considered, the patient was young and had the desire to preserve the kidney, we had reported 3 cases of renal sinus tumor that were benign before (refer to the previous article), due to the complex anatomy of the renal hilum, more arteriovenous branches and deep location of the tumor, the operation was very difficult, we used super-selective renal artery in the early stage. We have completed more than 30 cases with super-selective renal artery block followed by partial nephrectomy. This time, we still adopted the method of renal segmental artery block, and after suturing the posterior lip of renal sinus for 2 rows, part of the renal parenchyma was incised after the posterior lip of renal sinus, and the resection of tumor was completed.
