Incubation period: 1 – 14 days.
Main symptoms: fever, mostly high (temperature >38°C), a few low fever (>37.5°C), individual cases may be fever-free.
other symptoms: weakness, dry cough predominantly, and may gradually develop shortness of breath and dyspnea
severe illness: may progress rapidly to acute respiratory distress syndrome, renal failure, septic shock, etc.
And later, as cases are diagnosed, other systems of people’s body are found, and the first symptoms may appear.
Digestive system: mild nausea, weakness, poor mental health, diarrhea, vomiting, etc. may occur
Nervous system: headache may be present.
Cardiovascular system: panic, chest tightness, etc. may occur
Systemic symptoms: mild pain in the extremities and lower back, etc.
Typical symptoms.
(1) Fever, fatigue and dry cough as the main manifestations.
(2) Upper respiratory tract symptoms such as nasal congestion and runny nose are rare.
(3) About half of the patients develop dyspnea more than a week later.
(4) High fever is rare, around 38℃, some may not have fever, and the disease may progress in about 7-10 days.
(5) Severe cases may progress rapidly to acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis and coagulopathy.
(6) Most patients have a good prognosis, while a few patients are critically ill and can lead to death.
