What is cerebral thrombosis?

Cerebral thrombosis is a series of symptoms caused by obstruction of blood vessels supplying brain tissue (mainly the internal carotid artery, the vertebral basilar artery and the intracranial artery), such as numbness of limbs, hemiparesis, distorted eyes and mouth, and in severe cases, coma. The cause of cerebral thrombosis is mainly cerebral arteriosclerosis. The underlying diseases that cause cerebral arteriosclerosis are mainly related to hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and genetic factors in the elderly. Once a patient develops cerebral thrombosis and develops hemiplegia, distorted eyes and mouth, numbness of the limbs, and choking and coughing, active treatment is required. Before treatment, an examination should be performed to determine the site of cerebral thrombosis, so that the extent of the disease can be predicted in the future. After the condition is determined, active treatment is needed, such as thrombolytic therapy, interventional therapy, post-rehabilitation training, as well as the adjustment of Chinese medicine and herbal medicine, all of which are very crucial treatment measures. After the condition is stabilized, active treatment of the underlying diseases that cause cerebral thrombosis is also very crucial.
