The time rhythm of human body and the time chemotherapy of tumor

The emergence of chronotherapeutics in malignancy is the result of continuous research and development from experimental, clinical, and technical conditions to multicenter clinical trials of chronological relationship-guided dosing regimens. Patient tolerance to antineoplastic drugs does show a dependence on the timing of administration, and in rodent tumor models, better efficacy is usually achieved when drugs are administered at chronotropic time points close to the lowest toxicity. Randomized multicenter studies in large numbers of patients have shown that chronotherapeutics improves patient tolerance to chemotherapy and results in better antitumor activity of the drug. The relationship between chronotherapy and quality of life and survivorship is an important finding in recent years. At present, our hospital has successfully applied chronotherapy to gastric cancer, liver cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, bile duct cancer and other diseases, which significantly improved patients’ tolerance to chemotherapy and improved the effect of chemotherapy, and significantly improved the quality of life of patients with malignant tumors.
