Polycystic ovary syndrome has a high prevalence of about 5%-10% in women. The main causes are related to genetic factors, high work stress and environmental factors. Patients mainly present with ovulation disorders, hyperandrogenemia, hirsutism and acne, as well as insulin resistance hyperlipidemia, abnormal lipid metabolism and hypertension. Insulin resistance is present in 50%-75% of patients, and type 2 diabetes is 5-10 times more likely to occur in this group of patients than in normal people.
