Pediatric wheezing bronchitis is usually cured in about 7 days with regular treatment. This disease is a special type of bronchitis, caused by respiratory syncytial virus infection, which can lead to spasm and contraction of bronchial smooth muscle, causing expiratory dyspnea, and symptoms such as shortness of breath and wheezing. Since there is no specific medicine, symptomatic treatment is sufficient. Glucocorticoids, such as budesonide nebulizer, and bronchodilators, such as salbutamol nebulizer and terbutaline nebulizer, can be used to relieve the symptoms by nebulizer inhalation. If the child has significant wheezing with trismus, cyanosis and shortness of breath, intravenous hormones, such as hydrocortisone or methylprednisolone sodium succinate, should be used. In addition, the child should take rest and refrain from outdoor activities during the illness, and eat small and frequent meals to avoid stimulating the respiratory tract.
