There are often long-term alcoholic farmers who prefer the rural home-brewed rice wine – “Tu Mao Tai”. But long-term heavy drinking is prone to a disease that has a high disability rate for young adults – femoral head necrosis, also known as ischemic necrosis of the femoral head, one of the common bone and joint diseases. It can be caused by trauma, hormones, alcohol, etc. Its main symptoms, from intermittent pain gradually developed to persistent pain, and then from pain triggered muscle spasm, joint movement is restricted, and finally caused serious disability and limp. The treatment of osteonecrosis includes both non-surgical and surgical treatment. The specific choice of treatment needs to be determined according to the severity of osteonecrosis of the femoral head, which means that it needs to be combined with the stage of osteonecrosis of the femoral head. Avoid the abuse of adrenocorticosteroid drugs, such as betamethasone, beclomethasone, prednisone, etc. At present, hormone abuse is still common, and even hormones are used for colds, fever and joint pain, which undoubtedly increases the chance of ischemic necrosis of the femoral head. When hormones must be used, the principle of short-term and moderate doses should be followed. Large doses, even for short term use, may induce osteonecrosis of the femoral head. Prevention of alcoholic femoral head necrosis lies in reducing alcohol consumption and avoiding alcohol abuse, which can be done in small amounts. In working life, one should be more careful and strengthen the awareness of self-protection of the hip to avoid trauma. In sports activities or when carrying or carrying heavy objects, avoid sprains of the hip and try not to do overly heavy work.
