Are swollen lymph nodes in the neck toxoplasmosis?

Swollen lymph nodes are a common symptom of toxoplasmosis, mostly in the submandibular and posterior cervical lymph nodes, which may also be present in other diseases (e.g. lymph node tuberculosis, lymph node metastasis from head and neck tumours). If there is a relevant epidemiological history (contact with dogs and cats, eating raw and undercooked meat, eggs and dairy), it should be taken seriously and actively attended to.
