Most of the patients with allergic purpura can be cured within 8 weeks, but may recur within 1 year. Allergic purpura is a self-limiting disease, most patients can be cured within 8 weeks after reasonable treatment, but some patients can have a relapse within 1 year, and its relapse rate is about 30%~40%. The risk of recurrence is higher in patients with renal disease, in the presence of acute inflammatory indicators, or in patients receiving glucocorticoid therapy. Usually, purpura nephritis occurs in about 20% to 60% of patients with allergic purpura, while the overall risk of end-stage renal disease is less than 2%. The healing time is also relatively prolonged if the patient develops complications such as purpura nephritis and intussusception. Among them, the long-term prognosis of purpura nephritis is mainly related to the severity of renal injury. It is recommended that patients with purpura take targeted treatment under the guidance of a doctor in accordance with their own condition in order to avoid delaying their condition.
