Based on current guidelines and evidence-based medical evidence, catheter ablation is recommended for patients with the following two categories of atrial fibrillation 1. Paroxysmal atrial fibrillation with significant symptoms and ≥1 class I/III antiarrhythmic drug is ineffective. 2. Persistent atrial fibrillation with obvious symptoms and no obvious organic heart disease, where ≥1 class I/III antiarrhythmic drug is ineffective.
