Formulation and Specifications: Tablets: 200 mg
Indications: This product is indicated for the first-line treatment of patients with advanced RCC and for the treatment of patients with advanced RCC who have received cytokine therapy.
Rational dosing points:
1. The recommended dose of pegaptanib is 800 mg once daily on an empty stomach. If a dose is missed and less than 12 hours before the next dose is administered, it should not be made up.
2. Dose adjustment should be made in gradual increments or decrements of 200 mg according to individual tolerance to control adverse effects. The dose of pegaptanib should not exceed 800mg.
3. Pepcidone should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment during its use and should be monitored closely. For patients with baseline total bilirubin values ≤ 1.5 times ULN and AST and ALT values ≤ 2 times ULN, refer to the Dose Adjustment Guidelines for drug-related hepatotoxicity for dose adjustment.
4. Common hepatic impairment and hypertension must be observed during drug administration.
5. Avoid concomitant treatment with strong inhibitors of CYP3A4, P-glycoprotein or breast cancer resistance proteins.
