How many days after breast cancer surgery can I leave the hospital?

Patients with breast cancer are usually able to be discharged from the hospital in about 1-2 weeks after surgery. However, it also needs to be combined with the patient’s recovery after breast cancer surgery and whether there will be some complications to make a common judgment. After breast cancer surgery, many patients need to have a modified radical breast cancer surgery, which means that one side of the patient’s breast gland has to be removed and the axillary lymph nodes have to be cleared at the same time. Therefore, after surgery, the skin, or flap, needs to be sutured together, and some patients may experience subcutaneous fluid collection, flap necrosis, or even lymphatic fistulae. If the patient recovers well, he or she can be discharged from the hospital within a week after the surgery. If the patient has some complications, such as lymphatic leakage or subcutaneous effusion, the discharge time may be extended.
