In nature, human blood pressure tends to increase gradually with age, i.e., the older you are, the higher your blood pressure is. Therefore, according to the results of such studies, it can be concluded that the increase of blood pressure is a physiological phenomenon. However, there are also more research results and clinical examples that show that the increased blood pressure is very harmful to the human body. The following are two people I know, both of whom were young and strong, both of whom had high blood pressure, but both of whom did not take their medication as prescribed by their doctors and eventually left this wonderful world suddenly due to hypertensive cerebral blood gain. The first case is my colleague, although many years after the incident, but I still remember her name: Cai Runzhi, usually we all affectionately called her Cai sister. She was an old nurse (now respected as a senior nurse) in the hospital where I used to work. In the nineties, in order to adapt to the medical market, a new pediatric infusion room was established in the department (now there are such infusion rooms in many hospitals). Since she was too old to continue working night shifts like young people on the front line, the department put her in the infusion room to take care of her. Although she was no longer on night duty, the infusion room was full of children and parents who were watching them every day, so the intensity of her work did not decrease much. It’s just a busy day. She usually works Monday through Friday, with Saturday through Sunday off. She was not tall, but she walked like the wind, so she received rigorous vocational training (first aid) when she was young; she spoke faster than the average person, not as slow as the delicate ladies of today. I remember working five days in a row again one week, and after she came home from work on Friday, it was unclear how she was at night. When her family saw her the next morning (Saturday), she was lying on the floor, the person was stiff and cold, her pants were still up, and there was poop in her crotch (the head nurse told me). The first reason for this tragedy was that she usually had high blood pressure, but did not take any medication and remained busy, neglecting self-care; the second was that on that Friday night, she was the only one at home, her husband (a laid-off worker, who worked as a security guard at our hospital after the former factory closed down, and he happened to be on the night shift that day) and her children (who lived at school) happened to be away from home. If her family was at home, even if she had a sudden attack of cerebral hemorrhage, she could have been rescued first, because her family lives in the hospital. She died of cerebral hemorrhage on Friday night and was sent to the hospital morgue on Saturday and to the funeral home near the cancer hospital on Sunday. On Monday, a new week began, and the doctors and nurses in the department were busy working as usual, as if nothing had ever happened. She just disappeared from the earth, only 48 years old. She did not cause waste to the hospital and the country, but instead brought hardship to her family: she was the family’s biggest breadwinner, and her premature departure added to the family’s woes. The second case is the mother of a small group of my patients. They are local (Hakka) people. This little patient had a ventricular defect + DOWN`S, treated by me since she was less than one year old, and continued to see me after the operation, even when she had a cold and cough. They have become friends over time. This mother is slim, taller than her husband and certainly taller than me, we stand together, she is even taller (should be more than 1.72 meters), her slightly older thin face hides the hardships of ordinary life. Every time she came to see me, it was the child’s mother who brought her, sometimes her parents came together. But the last time (in September and October) the child came to me with a cough and cold, it was his father who brought the child with him, which made me feel uncomfortable. In the process of treating the child, the father told me the reason: the child’s mother died suddenly one night due to high blood pressure and cerebral blood gain. He had left behind a mentally handicapped child and a girl who was not yet an adult (16 years old). The father pointed to a girl I had never seen before, who was supposed to be their first child and looked like she was studying. The burden of life was on the slightly shorter father. If the father has another change, the sister will have to take on the responsibility of looking after her brother. The above two can be said to be the pillars of the family, both have high blood pressure, but both do not pay attention to it, and presumably have not been to the doctor, so they do not take medication. This eventually resulted in a tragic and irreversible end. Left to the family is the pain that can not be healed. With the popularization of health knowledge, people now pay attention to hypertension, supermarkets are sold automatically measure blood pressure meter, buy home can be measured by themselves, very convenient. There are also many ways to lower blood pressure, in addition to drugs, there are also life self-regulation, diet pay attention to eat less high-fat, and so on. There are a variety of drugs, you should go to the hospital to see your doctor, let the doctor determine which is the most suitable to eat. First of all, let me tell you: antihypertensive drugs are not the best, should be eaten for a long time, eat a long time will be a little side effects. Antihypertensive drugs can only control the blood pressure no longer increase (and sometimes difficult to control), you can not expect the drug to cure your high blood pressure. Antihypertensive drugs are still very cheap, probably the most expensive 5 yuan per day / piece (as opposed to high blood pressure and the emergence of serious complications).
