How to lift the clothing of the sick and wounded?

In order to expose the wound, make the correct diagnosis, or do the appropriate treatment, it is sometimes necessary to remove the sick or injured person’s clothing. This should be done with as little disturbance to the patient and as little damage to his clothing as possible, and should be done as little as practically necessary. If undergarments are too tight, such as a girdle, and need to be cut open, they should be cut along the stitches as much as possible. If it is necessary to remove the clothes of the sick or injured, care should be taken to maintain sufficient stable private. 1. Remove the protective helmet: Whether or not the protective helmet, such as a helmet, should be removed depends on the situation and the condition of the patient. It is best to let the helmet stay on his head. Helmets should be removed only when needed by the sick or injured person. When removing the helmet, it is best if the injured or sick person does it himself. Helmets that seal the head and face should be removed only when vomiting occurs from blocked breath, or when there is severe head trauma. However, in most cases, whether or not you should remove the helmet depends entirely on the circumstances of the injury and your ability to do so. If the helmet only covers the head, in the need to remove, just untie or judge the jaw strap, from both sides of the helmet to apply pressure to reduce the pressure, you can take off from the top. If it is a mask-shaped helmet that covers the head and face, two people need to work together to remove it more completely. One person supports the head and neck of the sick or injured person, while the other unhooks the helmet. When removing this helmet, the helmet should be pushed back and lifted slightly so that it leaves the jaw, then pushed forward around the skull, and then lifted vertically. 2, take off the coat or jacket: hold the injured or sick person, first slide his coat to the shoulder, let the arm on the normal side bend and then take it off from this side first, before sliding it out of the injured arm to take it off. The injured arm should be kept as straight as possible. If needed, the sleeve of the injured side can be cut along the suture line. 3. Take off the shirt or undershirt: Like taking off an outer garment. If necessary, you can cut through the front or side. 4.Take off the pants: Pull the pants down from the waist to expose the thighs. Lift the corner of the pants to reveal the calves and knees. If necessary, you can cut the stitching line on the inside of the trouser leg. 5. Take off the boots or shoes: Support the ankle with one hand and untie or cut the laces with the other hand to carefully remove the shoes. If wearing long boots, do not untie it. Use a knife to cut it open with the stitching on the back side of the boot. 6.Take off the socks: If it is difficult to take them off, insert two fingers between the socks and the legs. Slightly pull the sock out and cut or snip it along between the two fingers.
