Key points for rational drug use:
1. A clear diagnosis of Philadelphia chromosome-positive or BCR-ABL-positive chronic myeloid leukemia or acute lymphoblastic leukemia must be made prior to drug administration.
2. Baseline (including BCR-ABL mutation) evaluation should be done before treatment and hematologic, cytogenetic, and molecular responses should be monitored regularly during treatment in accordance with relevant disease guidelines.
3. The initial treatment dose should be selected according to different disease types and stages, and the dose should be adjusted during treatment according to efficacy and adverse effects.
4. Common adverse events are neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, anemia, pleural effusion, headache, diarrhea, fatigue, etc. A few have pulmonary hypertension.
5. This product is a substrate of CYP3A4, and the combination of potent CYP3A4 inhibitors is not recommended. If combined dosing cannot be avoided, close monitoring for toxic reactions should be performed.
*6. Dasatinib is used in adults with Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (FDA approved).
