After cure of tuberculosis, old tuberculosis lesions can be seen in the chest radiograph. Old lesions are commonly isolated or multiple nodular lesions, or sclerotic nodules, foci of calcification, and foci of cords with clear margins, or in some cases, purging cavities, and pleural thickening and adhesions. These foci indicate that the patient has had previous tuberculosis, but is currently in a stable state and does not require special treatment. In the active stage of tuberculosis, patchy shadows, or tuberculous cavities and disseminated lesions are visible on the chest X-ray. As long as the patient is treated with reasonable and regular anti-tuberculosis treatment, the lesions will be gradually absorbed after 2-3 weeks, and old tuberculosis lesions can appear after the recovery period. Therefore, patients with tuberculosis must be treated with reasonable and regular anti-tuberculosis treatment, and the medication must be administered as early as possible.
