Resection of 1/3 meningioma in the pterygoid crest

  Resection of 1/3 meningioma in the pterygoid crest.  Surgical difficulties: 1. the tumor was unusually hard; 2. the branch of the internal carotid artery into the tumor was extremely short.  Treatment: 1. alternating patient resection and treatment of tumor base; 2. combining with aneurysm clamping technique and aneurysm clamping to close the branch severed ends. The operation lasted 10 hours, which tested the surgeon’s skill, patience, psychological tolerance and the coordination of the surgical team. After the operation, the patient’s limb movement and consciousness were completely normal.
