Echocardiography is currently the most effective method to diagnose precocious heart disease. From the ultrasound, the child has a ventricular septal defect (crista) and unclosed foramen ovale, which should not appear cyanosis by definition and does not belong to cyanotic precocious heart disease, if there is no cyanosis now it is estimated that the cyanosis at birth may be related to other conditions; if there is still cyanosis now, the ultrasound needs to be repeated to further clarify the diagnosis. The disease does not have a clear genetic predisposition, and the main thing is to pay attention to the prevention of pneumonia in general. If it is a simple ventricular septal defect (crista) and foramen ovale is not closed, because both defects are relatively small, if the growth and development are good now, without frequent pneumonia, fever or wheezing, there is no need for special treatment at present, we can review the ultrasound 1-2 times a year for observation, and there is a possibility that it will grow up by itself; if it still does not grow up by itself by the age of 3, we can choose the less invasive interventional treatment first. If there is frequent pneumonia, fever or wheezing and poor growth, early surgical repair is recommended (ventricular septal defects within 3 years of age are not suitable for interventional treatment). The success rate of surgical and interventional treatment is more than 98%, so please do not be overly concerned. The cost of simultaneous interventional sealing of both defects is about 40,000 yuan, and the cost of surgical repair is 20-30,000 yuan.
