Symptoms of nasopharyngeal carcinoma brain metastasis

Once brain metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma occurs, the main symptoms are clearly related to the number, number and location of brain metastases. In case of metastasis in the meninges, the main symptoms are headache, vomiting, meningeal irritation, optic papillary edema and other serious manifestations, while in case of metastasis in the internal capsule, the symptoms are mainly clinical manifestations such as hemiplegia, hemianesthesia, impaired limb movement. Therefore, the symptoms of brain metastasis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma are related to the location, number and quantity of brain metastases, as well as whether they cause clear cerebral edema and cranial hypertension. If multiple brain metastases cause obvious cranial hypertension and cerebral edema, it will lead to cardiac and respiratory arrest and death.
