CT manifestations of obstructive pneumonia can be seen as lamellar or patchy high-density shadows in segments or lobes, usually with uniform density at the lesion site, and can be associated with limited emphysema or pulmonary atelectasis. Obstructive pneumonia is caused by poor drainage and blockage of secretions. The lesion may be caused by airway spasm or sputum obstruction, or it may be caused by bronchial tumor or mediastinal lymph node enlargement and compression, or it may be caused by endobronchial tuberculosis. The specific cause of the disease should be based on the patient’s symptoms and auxiliary tests to clarify the diagnosis.
