Chickenpox dietary considerations

Chickenpox and measles are both rash fever, and it is not recommended to eat stimulating foods during illness, which may prolong the course of the disease and cause an increase in the size and number of chickenpox. Cilantro, wine, ginger, mutton, fish, shrimp, and pumpkin are not recommended. Also spicy foods may make the rash flare up worse, including curry, mustard, chili, garlic, leeks, and fennel. As children with chicken pox experience a loss of appetite and poor digestion, fried and deep-fried foods are not recommended, as they are difficult to digest and can increase the burden on the intestines. The treatment of chicken pox is based on clearing heat and detoxification, so hot foods are not recommended, such as longan, lychee and jujube.
