The scrotum is damp and smelly and itchy generally due to certain diseases, commonly such as scrotal eczema often with severe itching and scrotum visible as flushing, erosion and oozing. Another is chronic prostatitis, where the prostate is shrunken, hardened and uneven to palpation on rectal examination, with small hard nodules.
