Can homosexuality be changed? The key depends on whether they want to or can. There is no force or method that can make a homosexual who does not want to change and cannot change become heterosexual. There are 50-60 million people in this country who are homosexual or bisexual, more men than women, about 2:1. This ratio is basically the same as in Western countries and most of our Eastern neighbors, i.e., 3-5% of the population. Secondary, situational homosexuality requires no special intervention and can be changed at any time. For example, prison inmates and seafarers who have been adrift at sea for long periods of time will use homosexual sex to appease their sexual urges when the opposite sex is not available, and may even become obsessed with a specific person of the same sex for a period of time. But once back in normal society, they will naturally seek out the opposite sex. Bisexual people are dependent on social circumstances and interpersonal opportunities, and will exhibit whatever sexual orientation they meet with the right person of whatever gender. Although they can often marry the opposite sex at marriageable age as they go along, they cannot avoid mentally or/and physically cheating to experience more attractive homosexual feelings and different sexual sensations. They have to make a balance or choice between their biological drive and social morality. Some have higher self-control (or less chance) and limit themselves to mental cheating, satisfying it through sexual fantasies and internet videos; more bisexuals will hide it from their spouse and find the same sex to make up for the lack of that part of their sexual orientation. The pure, primary (born) homosexuality (hereinafter referred to as “homosexuality”) is unchangeable. This is mainly due to biological genetic inheritance and mutation and epigenetic N-methylation, generally at the age of 3-5 years old, most late in puberty, they have a “different” feeling: do not like the opposite sex but admire, secretly love or even pursue the same sex. At present, medical science has not understood the causes of homosexuality, and many scientists, including medical biology, ethics, history and social scientists, believe that deliberate changes should not be made against biological instincts, because the only possible way to change can only be biological engineering, such as “genetic modification”, and, in addition, biological engineering The only possible way to change is through bioengineering, such as “genetic modification”, and bioengineering can only be carried out on genes, before the union of sperm and egg, or in the early embryonic stage, not on a full-grown human. The world reached a consensus 30 years ago that homosexuality is not a crime, not a disease, that homosexuality is only a minority of normal people, and that homosexuality is completely normal. Therefore, as a homosexual, you have to accept the biological nature that cannot be changed, and accept the fact that you are “normal” and do not need to and cannot change. Never be afraid of your parents’ sadness or the need to have a child for the family, and reluctant to marry the opposite sex, and do not be afraid of discrimination, and force yourself to marry with the crowd. It is true that there are some homosexuals in real life who either lack the knowledge or succumb to the pressure of the world and their parents to marry someone of the opposite sex, but none of them become heterosexual because they are married. -Even if they are good to their spouse, they cannot hide their “sexual impotence”. Once the lie is exposed, the marriage will be changed, lawsuits will occur, there may be a lot of gossip, more humiliation; even if there are children, the family is not complete. It is really harmful to people and themselves! As long as society is more civilized and tolerant, as long as people have a certain amount of scientific literacy, they will be able to change the distorted, stereotypical and unscientific perceptions of homosexuality, and everyone will live peacefully, regardless of whether it is homosexuality, bisexuality or heterosexuality? My advice is: accept the biological reality that cannot be changed and change the prejudice and ignorance that we can.
