Description of the etiology of occlusive sensation in the ear

As the incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma increases and its risk to people increases, people are no longer unfamiliar with this disease. One of the most typical symptoms of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is the feeling of occlusion in the ear, which can be caused by many reasons, such as eustachian tube malfunction, bacterial infection and immune reaction. Understanding more about the causes of occlusion in the ear can help patients to take timely treatment measures to address the root cause of the discomfort. Causes: 1. Eustachian tube malfunction and obstruction leading to in-ear occlusion: There are many common causes, such as adenoid hypertrophy, chronic sinusitis, hypertrophic rhinitis, giant nasal polyps, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and so on. Especially when the patient has a cold or after an airplane ride. The ventilation function of the eustachian tube is impaired, and the air in the middle ear is absorbed to gradually form negative pressure, so the patient feels stuffy and swollen in the ear and hearing loss. 2.Bacterial infection: The common causative bacteria are Haemophilus influenzae and Streptococcus pneumoniae. 3.Immune reaction: It is found that most patients can have a combined type I or II reaction. Clinically, it is also found that more patients with this disease have combined respiratory allergic diseases, such as allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, bronchial asthma, etc.
