In general, women have no specific symptoms during menstruation, but some women may suffer from lower abdominal pain around or during menstruation due to changes in their body’s hormone levels, resulting in excessive uterine contractions and vascular spasms, as well as gastrointestinal disorders such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. Mild cases may resolve on their own, but if the symptoms are severe, seriously affect your life and work, or if the pain lasts for a long time, or is combined with symptoms such as excessive menstruation or fever, you should go to hospital for examination and treatment in time.
