To check for the presence of endometriosis, it is possible to present it by ultrasound, which has a typical presentation and is usually diagnostic. With ultrasound, if endometriosis is present, endometrioid cysts may appear as granular and fine echogenic sonograms, and when there are endometrial fragments floating inside, they are similar to teratomas with hairy echogenic features in the fat, sometimes with internal separation, among other symptoms. To confirm the diagnosis of endometriosis, in addition to ultrasound examination, it is best to combine biopsy and laparoscopy for a more accurate diagnosis of endometriosis.
