Acupoint injection and fire needle pointing for facial spasm

  1. Clinical data All 126 patients came from the acupuncture outpatient clinic of our hospital and were grouped according to the principle of random sampling and patient volunteering. There were 94 cases in the observation group, including 31 male cases and 63 female cases. Male and female 1:2. Age: maximum 68 years old, minimum 35 years old. The average age was 42 years… The longest illness was 4.5 years and the shortest was 35 days. The average duration of the disease was about 524 days. There were 51 cases of pure orbicularis oculi twitching, accounting for about 54.2%. The combination of paroxysmal irregular orbicularis oculi or bilateral orbicularis oculi and orofacial twitching was found in 43 cases, accounting for 45.8%. In the control group, there were 32 cases, including 14 males and 18 females. Male and female 1:1.28. Age: maximum 69 years old, minimum 32 years old. The average age was 41.5 years… The longest illness was 4.3 years and the shortest was 31 days. The average duration of the disease was about 539 days. There were 17 cases of pure orbicularis oculi twitching, accounting for about 58.1%. The combination of paroxysmal irregular orbicularis oculi muscle or bilateral orbicularis oculi muscle and corner of the mouth twitching accounted for about 41.9% in 15 cases.  2. Injecting the solar acupoint and cataract acupoint with 5me stomatological syringe, 2.5ml each. using fire acupuncture points such as Shimonoseki, Dicang, Shouzheng, Sibai, Fengchi and Yingxiang. The acupuncture points are injected once every three days, and the fire needles are punctured every other day. Thirty days is a course of treatment.  Control group: acupuncture points: sun, xiaoguan, di cang, shouzheng, sibai, yangbai. And according to the theory of Chinese medicine to identify the evidence and add reduction. Wind-cold type plus Hegu. For the weak spleen and stomach type, add Fengchi, Sansanli and Sanyinjiao. For Yin deficiency and Yang hyperactivity type, add Tai Chong, Tai Xi and Cataract. Once a day, ten times for one treatment. After five days of rest, start the second course of treatment. Three courses of treatment are one treatment period.  3. Observation method 3.1. Efficacy assessment criteria: Cured: no pulling and twitching of the affected face, no recurrence in six months of follow-up. Significant effect: the numbness of facial pulling and twitching basically disappeared, with occasional attacks when the climate and mood change. Improvement: The pulling twitching of the affected face was significantly reduced, the duration of the spasm was shortened, and the interval between two adjacent spasm attacks was significantly extended. Ineffective: no significant change in symptoms (1).  3.2. Observation items Efficacy time, apparent effect, improvement rate, cure rate. The efficacy time follow-up observation.  4. Treatment effect In the observation group, the average apparent effect time was 32 minutes. Apparent effect of 32 cases, accounting for about 32.2%. Improvement 35 cases, accounting for about 37%. Cured 14 cases, accounting for about 15.8%. Ineffective 6 cases, accounting for about 15%. Follow-up observation of efficacy time: the average duration of efficacy maintenance was 189 days.  Control group: the mean time to effect was 30 minutes. There were 12 cases with significant effect, accounting for about 37.5%. Improvement was observed in 9 cases, accounting for 27.8%. Seven cases were cured, accounting for about 21.7%. Invalid 4 cases, accounting for about 13%. Follow-up observation of efficacy time: the average duration of efficacy maintenance was 45 days.  The differences between the two groups were not so obvious in the four items: time to effect, effect, improvement rate and cure rate, but the mean time to maintain the effect was significantly better in the observation group than in the control group.
