Laryngeal polyps are mainly found in the vocal fold area and are called vocal fold polyps. They are usually found on one side of the vocal fold at the junction of the anterior and middle 1/3 of the vocal fold and are translucent, white or pink in colour. The lesions are mostly unilateral or bilateral and are a common outpatient condition causing hoarseness.
