What tests are needed for epilepsy

Epilepsy examination items are mostly related to the etiology, mainly including the following: 1. imaging examination: to exclude intracranial lesions, such as the presence of infarction, hemorrhage, tumors, etc., commonly MRI, functional MRI for suspected metabolic diseases, or PET examination; 2. EEG: to clarify the abnormal discharge of epilepsy, routine EEG examination is feasible, and internal frequency EEG examination is required for seizure epilepsy; 3. other examinations: to exclude the etiology, such as blood diseases, electrolyte disorders, systemic organ diseases and other related examinations.
