Nasal drops are used to shrink and moisten the nasal mucosa, improve the condition of the nasal mucosa, and achieve the purpose of drainage, anti-inflammation and ventilation. The patient blows his nose, untie the collar; take the supine or lateral position, put a pillow under the shoulder, push the tip of the nose with the left hand to fully expose the nasal cavity, hold the dropper with the right hand about 2cm from the patient’s nostrils, put 3-5 drops of the drug; gently pinch the nose, so that the drug is evenly distributed to the nasal mucosa. Ear drops are mainly used for anti-inflammatory purposes. The commonly used drugs are: oxyfloxacin ear drops, boric acid alcohol ear drops, etc. Method: The patient takes a sitting or lying position with the affected ear facing upward. Gently pull the auricle upward and put 3-4 drops of medication into the external ear canal. Then gently press the ear screen several times with a finger to encourage the fluid to flow into the middle ear through the tympanic membrane perforation. Change position only after a few minutes. Note that the ear drops should be as close to the body temperature as possible to avoid vertigo.
