Is there sputum in neocrown pneumonia?

After the infection of the respiratory tract by the novel coronavirus, there can be some secretions in the respiratory tract and the patient has sputum. It can also be seen in many other respiratory infections, such as colds, laryngitis, bronchitis and even tuberculosis and lung cancer. To diagnose coronavirus pneumonia, we must test for coronavirus nucleic acid or antibodies to the coronavirus in the blood. When the nucleic acid and antibodies are positive, the patient can be considered to be infected with novel coronavirus pneumonia and it is not possible to diagnose or rule out novel coronavirus pneumonia based on a cough with sputum alone.
