Is it serious if I have a bone spur in my knee joint?

Many elderly people who go to the hospital for knee pain and are told they have a bone spur are worried and also blame all the pain on the spur and often ask their doctor if the spur can be cured. Causes of bone spurs: Repeated wear and tear due to instability or increased pressure inside the knee joint leading to hyperplasia. Bone spurs themselves do not usually cause knee pain. The pain is mainly due to the wear and tear of the meniscus and cartilage inside the knee joint, resulting in inflammation, as well as synovial hyperplasia and, in severe cases, bone edema. To conclude, bone spurs are not terrible, they are also the body’s way of protecting the joints, but it is important to find the cause of the joint deterioration and correct it.
