The need for CT-enhanced examinations

For general occupying lesions (mainly tumors), the doctor will usually recommend you to do an enhancement test, which is very simple: similar to the procedure of penicillin injection – injecting the drug through a vein, then injecting the drug into the blood vessels rapidly, comparing the images of the lesions before and after the drug injection to see if there is any change and what kind of change to further diagnose the disease. The diagnosis of the disease is more accurate (some lesions can reach the same result as the pathological diagnosis). The diagnostic accuracy will be lower if no enhancement scan is done. If the nature of the lesion cannot be determined, it will affect the future treatment or even blindly treat the lesion, which will result in worse consequences. Therefore, in order to make a clear diagnosis, for occupying lesions we recommend to do an enhancement scan as much as possible.
