Malignant tumors are common and frequent diseases that seriously endanger people’s lives and health, with high morbidity and mortality rates in recent years. At present, the treatment of malignant tumors is gradually developing in the direction of individualized treatment, comprehensive treatment and evidence-based medicine. The research on tumor prevention and treatment is also changing from “pathology-based” to “pathology-biology-based”, and from killing tumor cells to changing the tumor microenvironment [1]. Recent studies have found that the strength of tumor aggressiveness already exists in the primary tumor stage, and the metastatic recurrence of tumors is the most concentrated manifestation of the biological characteristics of cancer, which is also the most difficult problem to be solved at present. Various therapies aiming at “tumor elimination” have improved the therapeutic effect of tumors to a certain extent, but have not significantly affected the overall survival rate. Therefore, it has been suggested [2] that “tumor elimination actually accelerates the emergence of cancer resistance and recurrence.” And it is debated whether the treatment of tumors is to eliminate them completely or to allow them to survive [3]. The current trend of views tends to emphasize that while maximizing the elimination of tumors (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, local treatment), attention is paid to the modification of a small amount of residual tumors and the modification of the tumor host organism (such as biological therapy, Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine) in an effort to make the tumor cells reformed, reduce the invasive and metastatic potentials, and make the tumor host organism unsuitable for the tumor’s growth. It is also believed that cancer toxin is the core of the pathogenesis of malignant tumors. Cancer toxin and its pathological metabolites spread to the whole body through the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids, resulting in the dysfunction of the whole body, which then depletes the positive qi and entangles with qi, blood, phlegm, and heat, and further produces a series of pathological changes. Once formed, cancer toxin has the characteristics of rapid growth, spreading and flowing, etc. It is necessary to take the means of combating toxin with toxin in a timely manner to eliminate cancer toxin to the maximum extent. 1.3 Imbalance between positive qi and cancer toxin At present, the incidence of tumors tends to be younger and younger, and this phenomenon can not be explained simply by internal deficiency or cancer toxin. From the pathogenesis of tumors, there are only two methods to support justice and detoxification.
