How to do when a fish spike gets stuck in your throat

For fish spikes stuck in the throat, it is recommended to go to the ENT department of the hospital for removal. Generally, fish spikes in the oropharynx can be removed directly by the doctor with a tongue depressor to expose the oropharyngeal cavity under direct vision with foreign body forceps. For fish spikes at the base of the tongue, hypopharynx or pear-shaped fossa, laryngoscopy may be required. If the fish spike is swallowed into the esophagus, it will be removed by gastroscopy or esophagoscopy. It is advisable not to swallow the fish spike with rice balls or food, as this may bring the fish spike deeper into the throat, making it more difficult to remove.
