If you don’t see the splinter on CT, it may be that the fish splinter is relatively small, or it may be that the splinter has left the throat and further examination such as laryngoscopy or gastroscopy is feasible. On the one hand, it may be due to the fact that the fish splinter itself is relatively small and has not caused much damage to the throat, so the splinter could not be observed with CT. It is recommended to go to the regular hospital in time, using electronic laryngoscopy, gastroscopy and other equipment, to further find out whether there is a fishbone in the throat, as well as whether there is a foreign body in the esophagus. On the other hand fish splinter may have been expelled from the throat during vomiting, coughing, swallowing, etc., therefore, the fish splinter cannot be seen in CT examination. It is recommended that the patient should visit the doctor in time, communicate with the doctor, and examine and treat the disease under the doctor’s guidance.
