Treatment of mild pituitary tumors

The treatment of mild pituitary tumors is mainly determined by their size and type. If it is a lactating pituitary tumor, it can be treated with oral bromocriptine in the early stage; if it is another type of pituitary tumor, the tumor is small and does not cause the corresponding clinical symptoms, it can be observed first. Surgery is mostly performed through the transsphenoidal approach because it is less invasive and easy for patients to accept. If the patient is not able to tolerate general anesthesia or refuses surgery, radiation therapy can be considered. Treatment of pituitary tumors is mainly surgical, but radiation therapy and medication are also needed, but treatment depends on individual circumstances.
