It usually starts within 1 month after encountering a life event, with a variety of manifestations, mainly mood disorders, such as anxiety and depression (adults), up to depression and anxiety disorders, but also character disorders can be predominant (adolescents). It usually does not exceed 6 months, and may be delayed if the stressor persists, with a good prognosis.
