Is shortness of breath a precursor to any disease?

  Shortness of breath is a clinical manifestation that can occur in more diseases and is usually closely related to respiratory and cardiac diseases.  The manifestation symptom of shortness of breath is shortness of breath. If the patient has lung diseases, such as pneumonia, chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, etc., the lung function is affected, the function becomes poor, and often feels insufficient inhalation and labored exhalation; if the patient has heart diseases, such as coronary heart disease, ischemic heart disease, etc., it also manifests as chest tightness and shortness of breath. Some other diseases such as severe anemia, lung cancer, advanced tuberculosis, etc. can also cause it. In addition, people with excessive work pressure, poor mood or more abdominal fat may also experience transient shortness of breath.  Symptoms of shortness of breath should be seen promptly to clarify whether there are heart or lung-related diseases and to give targeted treatment so as to better control clinical symptoms.
