The breast is an important part of a woman’s beautiful curves and is a favorite of many people, but breast cancer has become a serious threat to its health. Breast cancer accounts for 1/3 of female malignant tumors worldwide, and the incidence of breast cancer ranks first among female malignant tumors in several countries and regions. In China, about 470,000 women suffer from breast cancer every year, and more than 40,000 people die from breast cancer. Guangzhou Women’s and Children’s Hospital has been conducting breast cancer screening every year for more than ten years, and the number of people screened each year is about 30,000. -In other words, there is one breast cancer in every thousand people. According to the latest data of the screening program for two cancers (breast cancer and cervical cancer) among rural women in Guangzhou from 2009 to 2011, the incidence of breast cancer among rural women in Guangzhou has also surpassed that of cervical cancer. This indicates that the incidence of breast cancer has increased in both urban and rural women. Among the breast cancer patients admitted to Nanhai Women’s and Children’s Hospital in the past two years, there are two patients aged 25 and many patients aged 27, 29 and 30 who are less than 35 years old, and the incidence of breast cancer among young people is obviously increasing. The story of Chen XX, the actress who played Lin Daiyu in the old TV series “Dream of the Red Chamber”, has been a household name for a long time because she had breast cancer and refused regular hospital treatment, resulting in the rapid spread of the tumor until her death. But every time I think about it, I always feel that in today’s increasingly advanced science, the untimely death of a star is really regrettable. We also feel the importance of medical knowledge and health screening by medical professionals. The causes of breast cancer, like most other cancers, are still unclear. It is only recognized that family history of breast cancer, first menstruation less than 12 years old, age of menopause more than 55 years old, late marriage and childbirth, first delivery more than 30 years old, especially more than 35 years old, and not breastfeeding are all high risk factors for breast cancer. However, if you do not have high risk factors, you may also have other factors that lead to breast cancer, such as poor living habits, high-fat diet, smoking and alcohol habits, years of history of breast enlargement, poor working and living environment, exogenous hormone intake, etc. You should also guard against breast cancer. There is no primary prevention method for breast cancer. Then how to detect breast cancer early becomes a very critical issue. According to statistics, the early cure rate of breast cancer is over 90%, while the cure rate of progressive breast cancer is only about 40-50%. Therefore, early detection and diagnosis are the key factors affecting the curative effect of breast cancer. The International Union Against Cancer clearly states that “uterine cancer and breast cancer are two types of cancers for which definite results can be obtained through screening.” In other words, we can achieve early diagnosis and early treatment through effective screening in order to improve the cure rate. We advocate women to do breast self-examination regularly, pay attention to whether there are lumps, abnormal pain, nipple overflowing with blood and fluid, whether there is redness, swelling, flaking and indentation in appearance, etc. If problems are found, do not repeatedly analyze whether they are active or not, whether they are adhered to the skin, etc. It is better to go to the breast surgery department for further examination by a professional doctor in time, and specialize in treating the disease in order to minimize the errors and omissions in diagnosis and treatment. If a solid tumor of the breast is found, do not palliate it, it is advisable to remove it in time for treatment and clear diagnosis. There are a large number of clinical cases in which the tumor was found one year or even many years ago, but for various reasons the surgery was not performed, and when the tumor increased in size, it was already a case of progressive cancer. Several patients in the ward are examples. Most of them found breast lumps 1-3 years ago and found acquaintances and friends, famous old doctors, etc., but they did not have surgery to remove them in time, and then they were not diagnosed in time. By the time of surgery, they were already transformed from carcinoma in situ to invasive carcinoma, as well as progressive stage breast cancer, etc. For women with symptoms such as breast lumps, pain, nipple overflow, and asymptomatic women over 40 years old, it is recommended to have regular annual checkups at breast surgery, and for women over 40 years old, it is recommended to have a mammogram and several breast ultrasounds every year for timely detection of breast lesions. Ultrasound of the breast is familiar and accepted by women, while mammography is a bit rusty. In fact, in countries such as Europe and the United States, where the age of breast cancer patients is ten years higher than that of China, mammography is the main method of breast cancer screening. In China, ultrasound + mammogram is the “golden combination” in breast cancer screening. In the past two years, there were several patients in our department who had untouchable clinical negativity, negative B-ultrasound and suspicious calcified foci detected by mammography. The result showed that it was breast cancer. Specialized equipment such as breast ultrasound, mammogram, breast ductoscopy, and breast spin biopsy system can help us recognize breast diseases earlier and more accurately, thus buying time for effective treatment. We hope that all women in the society will pay attention to breast health, so that we can live a happier and longer life.
