There are two main types of distal humeral fracture typing, according to the degree of fracture displacement and Ao typing, respectively. 1. the fracture is divided into the following four types according to the degree of fracture displacement. type I is a fracture with no significant displacement of the fracture end or mild displacement, displacement not exceeding 2 mm. type II is a fracture with more than 2 mm of lateral displacement of the fracture end. type III is a complete displacement of the fracture, resulting in inward fracture of the joint or outward displacement Type III is complete displacement of the fracture, resulting in inward fracture or outward displacement of the joint. Type IV is a fracture combined with joint dislocation.2. The Ao subtype, type a, refers mainly to extra-articular fractures; type b, to partial intra-articular fractures; and type c, to completely intra-articular fractures. These three types can be further divided into three subtypes. 1, 2 and 3 represent the degree of fracture comminution, respectively, which can be further subdivided according to the specific location of the fracture, and are two of the more common clinical methods of typing distal humeral fractures to guide further treatment plans.
