The subject of the private parts of the body is more or less a “shy” topic that people are reluctant to mention. This is why many women are not sure what vaginal dumbbells are for, is it an erotic object? Or is it a “secret weapon” that can make your private parts tighter? The vaginal dumbbell was first introduced into the field of gynecology as a device to measure the strength of the pelvic floor muscles by the sensation of the vaginal dumbbell sliding out of the vagina. Later on, it was mainly used for pelvic floor rehabilitation, for conservative treatment of stress urinary incontinence, and to help improve vaginal laxity. First, the vaginal dumbbell is used as a trainer for pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation, using gravity and physical stimulation to promote normal contraction of the pelvic floor muscles, and is widely used for conservative treatment of stress urinary incontinence or as an adjunct to surgical treatment. Some studies have shown that performing pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation exercises such as vaginal dumbbells can effectively improve the pelvic floor muscles and reduce the incidence of stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. The vaginal dumbbells are easy to learn and can be taken home and used by the patient under the guidance of a physician, which can also motivate the patient to take the initiative in stress incontinence treatment. Secondly, vaginal dumbbell training can also help to improve vaginal laxity in women. Especially after pregnancy and childbirth, women experience a decrease in pelvic floor muscle tone, which results in a wider and looser vagina. Vaginal laxity not only affects normal sex life, but also leads to aging and even gynecological diseases. If left unattended for a long time, it may lead to serious urinary leakage and even organ prolapse. The vaginal dumbbells have a certain weight, and when placed in the vagina, they make the pelvic floor muscles contract naturally under the effect of gravity. At the same time, walking and simple physical activities will stimulate the pelvic floor muscles to keep contracting, which will improve vaginal laxity and promote vaginal contraction. Some studies have shown that vaginal dumbbell training + intensive life interventions (such as intake of nutrition and ensuring muscle recovery) can rapidly improve the symptoms of vaginal laxity and enhance the overall quality of life of patients.
