What location does a sacral cyst cause pain?

The location of pain caused by sacral cysts needs to be analysed on a case-by-case basis. The main reason for the pain is that the cyst is pressing on the spinal cord or peripheral nerves, for example, when the sciatic nerve is pressed, the pain is felt in the buttocks, the back of the thighs, the outer calves and the soles of the feet; when the gluteocutaneous nerve is pressed, the pain is mainly felt in the inner part of the buttocks and lumbar region.
