Where do rectal polyps grow?

Rectal polyps, as the name implies, must grow in the rectum, but if they grow in the colon, they are called colonic polyps. Rectal polyps are a generic term for a type of bulging lesion in the rectum, which includes adenomatous and non-adenomatous polyps. Non-adenomatous polyps often refer to inflammatory polyps and hyperplastic polyps, which are benign and slowly formed under the stimulation of factors such as enteritis, and do not require surgery. If you actively treat chronic colitis and other primary diseases, such polyps can disappear on their own. Another type of rectal polyps is adenomatous polyps, adenomatous polyps need surgery to avoid further development of the disease changes, adenomatous polyps after surgery, should be regularly reviewed to avoid recurrence of the disease.
