What is the problem of unsightly flesh strips after double eyelid surgery?

Some patients who have had double eyelids respond that the lower part of the eyelid line is always swollen and hard to the touch, which some people describe as “meat strips” or “salami”, making the double eyelids look fake or unnatural. So, how is this “meat strip” or “salami” formed? The main reasons are: 1, the skin below the eyelid line is not tightened and curls forward; 2, the eyelid line is not removed from the eyelid muscle, making it appear bloated. Therefore, for those who have loose eyelid skin, it is best to remove the skin, tighten the skin as much as possible, and suture it to the lid plate; for those who have swollen eyelids, it is best to remove the lid plate while removing the fat, so that the “meat strip” can be eliminated and the eyelids can look natural and the eyes can look divine.
