The most common cause of pneumonia is considered to be related to airway spasm caused by the infection. It is recommended to do an auscultation for dry and wet rales in both lungs, and also to improve chest CT and pulmonary function, bronchodilator test and other related tests. If the infection is not completely controlled and the blood results suggest bacterial infection, such as high blood count, high white blood cells and high neutrophils, it is recommended to continue the treatment with antibiotics. If there is dry rales on auscultation in both lungs, treatment with antispasmodic and asthma medication should be administered promptly, and nebulization can also be added. If the wheezing is very severe, oxygen and ventilator should be used as an adjunctive treatment.
